It is so hard for me to understand when people have a flippant attitude towards God, Jesus, the Bible, and the church. I can't fathom the attitude of "It's my life, and I can do whatever I want to do!" It makes no sense to me, and it's nothing that I would even want to do.
Don't people realize that God does matter? Don't they know He loves them - that He created them? Don't they care that Jesus died for them so that they might live eternally in Heaven instead of in the fires of Hell? Don't they care about anyone but themselves at all? Do they really believe the world just "boomed" into existence?
Sadly, many don't care about God, Jesus, the Bible, and the church....and many won't. I don't understand it. Maybe you don't, either. Or maybe you are one that feels the other way - that God isn't real and doesn't matter.
I pray that everyone will come to the realization that God does matter....that Christ did, indeed, die for them.....and that His church and His Word matters. God wants everyone to be saved. And so do I.
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people.
