Love Makes the Journey Worthwhile

I really like the quote on this new picture I got recently: Life is a Journey and Love makes that journey worthwhile.  That's not a new concept at all. From the beginning of time, love was the premise of all creation.  God loved us from the beginning, and He will love us for eternity.

The Bible has hundreds of scriptures about love.  It tells us what love is, who we are to love, and what not to love.  Here are just a few of the "love" scriptures:

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Corinthians 16:14

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:14

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:16-17

LOVE is what makes our life's journey worthwhile. Don't waste time being unloving.  Spend today, and every day, loving God, loving Jesus, loving others, loving yourself, and loving what God loves.
