When Sharing Isn't Nice

After teaching children for years and years that it's nice to share, over spring break we learned in a BIG way why sharing ISN'T nice!  It's not nice to share viruses!  It's not nice to share stomach viruses!  Which is exactly what our family has been doing for the past six days..... YUCK!  They shared it with me twice....with a good day in-between.  

What else isn't good to share?  Sickness is obvious.  But there are other things:  Gossip, rumors, dirty jokes/stories, bad habits, bad attitudes, bad advice.  The list could go on and on.

However, though there a many, many bad things we shouldn't share, we have plenty of good things we can share with others - most importantly the GOOD NEWS of JESUS!  Share it freely and openly with others!  In fact, we're commanded to do so.

So, what are you sharing today?

But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits^[a] to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. ¹⁴ He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
