SOMEDAY

Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.
James 4:13-17

What is your favorite day of the week?  For many people, it’s Someday.

Someday is a hazardous word.

Consider these statements:
Someday, I’m going to be the parent I always wanted to be. (Remember that children grow up quickly. Children will be gone before you know it and that Someday will be gone, as well.)

Someday, I’m going to slow down and begin enjoying relationships.

Someday, I’m going to take God serious.

Someday, I’m going to get involved in the work of the church.

Someday, I’m going to go to go to Bible classes or teach a class.

Someday, I’m going to serve.

Someday, I’m going to work with the children or the youth.

Someday I'm going to tell someone else about Jesus.

Someday I'm going to give my lift to Jesus.

Someday. Someday oftens becomes never.

Make your Someday be your today!

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:17

We've discussed this verse several times in different studies thro the years. It's interesting that the phrase "Lord willing," is one that many of us do not use anymore. I don't say it either, but many times I think it and also pray it when giving my plans to God.
